I was flipping channels earlier, and when I came to VH1, they were airing a special on Eminem.  After watching it, I felt like writing this.  I think later on, I will be adding to this article.

I'd like to go back a little bit to what I wrote in my Game World article.  I, honestly, don't know how violent video games can cause people to commit real acts of violence.  First, if the video game is violent, it should have some sort of mature rating.  If you are old enough to go out and take the bus by yourself and go to the mall to buy a game, you should already be well aware of laws and other such rules.  If you can't go to the mall by yourself and want to get a violent video game, it is your parent's responsibility to educate or regulate the games you get.  The laziness of today's teens is one thing, but parents should be involved with their children's daily lives.  If you are young and playing( for example) Grand Theft Auto 3, you would have to be seriously retarded to actually think that getting a bat and knocking random people on the streets would be fun(sadistics need not apply).

I am living proof that if you are educated, playing violent video games, watching gore/violent movies, and listening to explicit music won't affect my actions.  Hell, porn doesn't do a damn thing to me either.  I've played Grand Theft Auto at age 11.  At the time, all I did was steal cars, blow things up, and kill cops and pedestrians.  I, never for one second, thought of doing it in real life.  I don't know how many sense-less movies I've seen, but none have affected me.  Music yields the same results.  Especially for Eminem's lyrics.  On the special I watched earlier, some gay organization called Glad(something like that) said that his lyrics suggest people to do negative things towards gay people.  I started listening to him with The Real Slim Shady.  The song was at the time, the song to listen to.  After people got tired of it and started saying that song was 'played out,' I still listened to it very often.  The Marshal Mathers LP is full of hatred, and I listen to it to calm myself.  The people of Glad say they get hate mail from Eminem fans...you know what?  Stop bothering him and most of them will leave you alone.  Eminem isn't the one causing the problem, it Glad.  I am a supporter of gay people.  I think it's incredibly stupid to say that the person they love is not the right person to love just because they are the same sex.(I'd like to point out right now, I AM NOT GAY/YAOI!)  Listening to Eminem hasn't changed my views on that.  I have no idea why porn is banned for people under 18.  Someone needs to explain to me why porn is banned for people under 18.  I have seen so much, it's funny.  I am no more or less of a person after seeing it.  It's simply mind boggling why this is a law all over America.  I would ask why on a certain GameFAQs message board(the Life, Universe, and Everthing else aka LUE), but I am fairly certain the topic would be deleted moments after I create it.  It's one thing to express your opinion, it's another to throw that opinion in everyone's face.

Enter the Parent's Television Council.  The PTC recently lost a huge case against World Wrestling Entertainment.  The PTC claimed that the WWF(I will not get the 'F' out! =P) television shows caused the deaths of some kids who decided to perform the moves they saw on television.  Once again, the parents are the ones who need to get their act together and watch the kids.  The WWF provides entertainment for teens.  Kids aren't very likely to actually understand the storylines, so it's stupid for a parent to let them watch such things.  The PTC caused sponsors to pull out their advertisements on WWF television and tried to cut all that was entertaining about the WWF.  Bad Ass Billy Gunn was stripped of his 'Mr. Ass' title, Val Venis was stripped of his porn star gimmick, normally uncensored 'cuss' words were being censored, and they made it so even RAW could not even have 'ass' uncensored.  Normal broadcast shows is one thing, but cable, in its own right, shouldn't even be censoring words like 'shit' and 'fuck.'
