Ok, so you have ISDN or better.  Now you must go download something.  mIRC.  Go to your favorite search engine and type in " mIRC scripts " or you can just go here and download a script called Invision.

mIRC is 'body' where you can chat, download, and trade things.  There are hundreds of scripts of mIRC that have different functions and uses.

Once you have some sort of script and have it running, the first thing you should do is go into the options.  Where it says 'Full Name' and 'Email Address' you can type anything you want.
Where it says 'Nickname' type a name you want to be called.  If it is something common, someone might already have it, so type in a second nickname where it says 'Alternative.'

Now you should expand the 'Connect' menu, if it isn't already expanded, and go to 'Ident.'
Here you should enable 'Ident server' and change 'User ID' to something you want.

Now go to the 'DCC' section.  In the 'On send request' box, make sure 'Auto-get file' is selected, and if you want, check minimize and choose resume for the drop-menu box.
In the 'On chat request' box, make sure 'auto-accept' is selected, and minimize is not checked.

Now click on OK and click into the 'Status window.'
Here, type " /server irc.criten.net " and press enter. (Without the parathesis.)
It might take a while, but it will connect eventually.  When it does, type " /j #animeuniverse " and press enter.
This will make you join a 'chat channel' where people can help you.  People with ' @ ' in front of there names will be able to help you.  I am also in there as 'Shoju' if you want me to help.  I serve my anime, and anything else I have, in this channel.  If you want, give me a hollar and tell me you came from 'Shoju's site' and I'll probably help you out if I'm not busy.
