Bio: Cid is a pilot and expert mechanic. He built the Little
Bronco and the Highwind. Shinra took the Highwind from him. Shinra
also chose him to be the one to pilot the first rocket into space. On
launch day, Shera kept on checking oxygen Tank No. 8 and forced Cid to abort the
mission. This set back his dream of going to into space. When Rufus
comes around to Cid's place to take the Tiny Bronco, Cid joins Avalanche on
their journey.
On the way of the journey, Rufus ended up using the Shinra 26
rocket and tried to blow Meteor up. Cid goes aboard along with Cloud and
retrieves the Huge Materia. On their way to the escape pod, Tank No. 8
malfunctioned and fell onto Cid trapping him. Cid realized Shera really
saved his life that day. Shera pops up and helps them get the Tank off of
him and escape the rocket.
Extras:
- Parents - Presumed dead.
- Cid's limit breaks Boost Jump, Hyper Jump, and Dragon Dive are the last remenents
of Dragoons. (Dragoons aren't in FFVIII, but make their reappearance in FFIX)
- Cid cusses the most.
- The 'Cid' name has appeared in every real Final Fantasy game since
Final Fantasy 2.
