Jenova (Crisis from the Sky)

Info: Jenova is an alien.  Sephiroth-sama believes she is a Cetra, but he wrong.  'Crisis from the Sky' is what the Cetra called her.  She actually came from the sky and caused much destruction against the Cetra.  After losing many people, the Cetra were able to contain Jenova with the help of Weapon and bury her.

She was dug up later by Prof. Gast.  He thought he found an Ancient (Cetra).  He named it Jenova and began the Jenova Project.  After Gast and Hojo were done using her, they shipped whatever was left to the Nimbelheim Reactor to be stored.  When Sephiroth came to Nimbelheim, Jenova began to pull the strings on Sephiroth and caused him to go nuts.

Later, Hojo had Jenova shipped back to the Shinra Tower because he thought that the Reunion was going to happen wherever Jenova happened to be.  However, Sephiroth came and took Jenova and brought her back to where she landed in the first place, North Crater.  There Jenova became complete and made Sephiroth-sama summon Meteor.  Jenova is able to control Cloud a lot.  She makes Cloud directly give the Black Materia to Sephiroth.

Jenova is the real villain in this game.  She pulls a lot of strings to get what she wants.  Sephiroth tells them, in the Temple of the Ancients, that he wants to make a huge wound to the planet that nearly kills it.  That would then cause the planet to gather a massive amount of energy to heal, and Sephiroth wants to be in the middle of that to take that energy and become a god.  However, this is what Jenova would have ended up doing.  She would have been the one in the center of that energy.

Extras:

  • Jenova had 4 total forms: Birth, Life, Death, and Synthesis.
